The smell of chocolate and Christmas

Thick, smooth noodles
Chicken baked and blended with herbs
Spices sprinkled in the flavorful broth

Remembering thick, hot lasagna
With layers and layers
Of melted mozzarella cheese
Soft noodles
Rich, red sauce
Ground beef  

Remembering fondly
And still enjoying
How delicious life is
